“The controls for my shower are backwards,” Sheppard said, dripping water on Rodney’s workbench. “The red is cold, the blue is hot, and it’s driving me crazy. Can you fix it?”
Rodney quickly moved his laptop away from the growing puddle. “Do I look like a plumber? Besides, they’re not backwards. Blue has a shorter wavelength than red, therefore more energy. More energy means hotter water.”
“But—”
Rodney rubbed his eyes and looked back down at the data from the city’s rise off the ocean floor. “We need to rethink a lot of assumptions now that we’re here, Major.”
