Sara was surprised to find a highlighted section in the entomology textbook Grissom had given her for Christmas. “What the Hell? Did he give me a used textbook?” Often in populations of insects, males of the species emerge first as adults, and thus are available for mating when the females emerge. “So there is a substantial age difference between insect ‘couples’,” she said, wondering if Grissom had highlighted the passage for her. “That’s interesting.” She then noticed a Post-it note on the other page. I’ve been a fool. Call me. Sara smiled as she picked up the phone and dialed.
