Buffy Tarot Cards - Minor Arcana The Minor Arcana is composed of four suits (Swords, Cups, Wands, and Pentacles or Coins), reminiscent of the four suits found in the common 52-card deck of playing cards (Spades, Hearts, Clubs, and Diamonds). Each suit is composed of 14 cards: 10 "pip" cards (Ace through Ten) and four "court" cards (Page, Knight, Queen, King). In a Tarot reading, the appearance of a card from the Minor Arcana suggests situations relevant to day-to-day experience. Many of these are reminiscent of the Major Arcana, identifying similar issues in less over-arching scenarios. For example, the 2 of Cups, in signifying attraction, balance, and harmony, might be considered a 'minor' version of The Lovers card. The appearance of a "court" card may be interpreted to mean the appearance of either a scenario or a person who embodies the qualities represented by that card.
